Daniel W. Coffey is admitted in all courts in New York State, all federal district and appellate courts within New York State, and the U.S. Supreme Court. We have represented a variety of businesses and individuals in a variety of civil litigation matters, ranging from small claims courts to New York’s Court of Appeals.
Daniel W. Coffey a member of the New York State Bar Association Trial Lawyer’s Division and the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association. We have taken several successful verdicts in both state and federal courts. We have both aggressively defended personal injury and property damage claims in court and have defended insurance companies in first-party coverage cases. We have litigated property and commercial/contractual disputes. We also represent subrogating insurance carriers as plaintiffs seeking to recoup amounts paid due to the tortious acts of others. While it is not our primary focus, we have represented individuals seeking to recover for personal injuries. We have lectured to the bar association on topics such as jury selection, effective opening statements and settlement strategies. It is our philosophy to prepare ever case as if it will go to trial, but to always look for avenues for resolution of disputes.
