Municipal Defense

Daniel Coffey has experience defending cities, towns, counties and the State of New York in a variety of claims.  Dan Coffey has acted as local counsel to the City of New York in a claims ranging from Article 78 actions to prisoner lawsuits.  He has represented the Town of Northville in defense of a landfill cleanup claim.  He serves as counsel to a Town Department of Public Works and, in that capacity, has overseen the merger of water districts and the transfer of residents to a neighboring water district.

Dan Coffey has also defended municipalities, as well as private entities in negligence/tort actions, such as sidewalk “slip and falls,”   We have experience attending and taking 50-b testimony and filing and moving to strike Notices of Claims.  We have experience representing IDAs in Article 78 actions.
